We’re madly trying to wrap up the website in the next few days (as evidenced by the screenshot of my desktop) and we’ve been terrible about keeping this blog up to date. A few highlights from the past few weeks (OK – more like a month and a half)…
1. The TCG show was INCREDIBLE! We met so many wonderful people and got so much positive feedback. We left feeling like superheroes. We feel more and more like what we’re doing with Subplot Studio is really going to help a lot of people. Being a theatre conference, the feedback was at times, dramatic. “Where have you been all my life?” “Oh my goodness, this is going to make everything better.” “I just don’t even know what to say… Is this really real?”
2. We found an amazing intern named Nicole Younger. Nicole is a ball of fire. She’s got so much energy and loves the theatre. She has been helping us out for a few weeks and we couldn’t be more happy! Unfortunately for us (and great for her) she is going back to San Diego at the end of August to continue her education in Communications at the University of San Diego. We’re hoping that she can keep helping us out while she’s working on her tan at Mission Beach.
3. After a brief time away (maybe due to graduation parties) Laura is also back with us. She’s got her nose to the grindstone and she’s helping us get ready for the launch. Lots of posters to get loaded onto the site. It’s good to have her back in the office.
4. Brian and I went to Palo Alto yesterday to give a presentation about Subplot Studio. We talked to a big shot at Yahoo and a couple other important people from the world of Facebook and Google. They had such positive feedback about our business and were very encouraging. We can’t wait launch the site and get feedback from everyone!
I think that’s all I have time for right now. I’m sure there’s a lot more to write but it’s time for a quick dinner and then it’s back to work!
